'Dorian Gray' follows the story of a young English bureaucrat whose blind pursuit of hedonism lands him into a world of supernatural trouble when he makes a deal with the devil to trade his soul for eternal youth and beauty. However, like always, with every wish there's a drawback. For Dorian; this drawback comes in the form of his portrait, painted by his friend Basil (Ben Chaplin). Dorian finds that he never ages and remains ever-youthful, whereas the marks of ageing start to appear on the portrait and reflects the vicious, soulless man he has become. He ends up moving the portrait from his hallway to a locked secret room in his attic.
With his dark hair and impossibly black eyes Ben Barnes was believable as Dorian morphing from naive and innocent to seductive and sinful. Colin …

I love the book this movie is based on, so to say this movie was a major disappointment barely even touches the surface. They took a fantastic story and tossed it into an incinerator. Then, whatever was left after that, they threw on the floor and suffocated with all of these pointless and repetitive scenes. Honestly, the middle of the movie is basically a sex montage. I was both shocked and bored at the same time, which is a very uncomfortable feeling. The one bright point of the movie was Colin Firth, who plays the role of a twisted and cynical "friend" of Dorian Gray very well. However, I would not even recommend die-hard Colin Firth fans to see this. I would not recommend ANYONE to see this. The ending of the movie is the best part, not only because we finally get to see what this …
