When his best freind's finacee is kidnapped by an ancient sorcerer and a trio of demons in Chinatown, it's up to tough-talking truck driver Jack Burton (Kurt Russell) to save the day. This movie has some of the funniest and the most weirdest things that I ever seen before.

John Carpenter's knowingly ridiculous homage to Chinese swords and sorcery films in which the hilariously useless Jack Burton takes on a mythical demi-god surrounded by chop-socky mayhem and cheesy flying effects. Definitely not for the serious minded and all the more fun for it.

If you embrace this film as what it was (hopefully) intended to be - a goofy tongue-in-cheek parody of action movie silliness, then it works on both a comedic and action-oriented level. If you try to take it seriously, you'll probably be disappointed.

An 80's movie so bad, you have to forgive it -- like when your buddy's drunk uncle passes out and pisses on the couch. It's funny, in a sad, sad way.

Another so-called cult classic - Big Trouble is a fun movie. Chinese demons and an ancient sorcerer hatch an evil plot and it's up to Kurt Russell (and his friends) to save the day. It's goofy, it's action-packed - it's a great time.
