Ultimately clouded by ambiguity, "Broken Flowers" is quite intriguing.

Bill Murray receives a letter from an old girlfriend claiming me has a son, and his friend and amateur sleuth twists his arm into investigating. The result? Bill Murray sitting stone-faced on a sofa. Bill Murray sitting stone-faced in a car. Bill Murray sitting stone-faced on a chair. Bill Murray sitting stone-faced on a plane. Even by Jarmusch's standards, this is overly understated and uneventful, lacking much in the way of laughs or drama. The soundtrack was typically good, but otherwise I found it a cold and empty experience.

The real mystery in Bill Murrray's quest is why not why these women left him, but why they were attracted to him in the first place (or again in the second place in the case of one). The premise is interesting but Murray's character is not. Rather than go for a genre piece Jarmusch plays it cool, presumably in the hope that it will be perceived as enigmatic. But really it's just dull, and not helped by some stereotyped casting of the female actors.

Broken Flowers is a Dreadful and Depressing film that doesn't account to anything. The Direction is bad, The Screenplay(or lack there of) is terrible, with no laughs at all. This movie has a very talent ensemble, but they are ALL wasted. This film starts slow and ends even slower. Nothing happens. This is a pure waste of time and talent.

This was a strange and artsy kind of film. It has funny parts but overall, I didn't love it.

Noone plays Bill Murray quite like Bill Murray. Probably his best.
