Anthony Hopkins gives a typically excellent performance as a killer who plays the system against itself in this legal thriller.

Low-key outsmart 'em flick. Anthony Hopkins is a bad boy again and he thinks he'll get away with murder.

Gosling may indeed be a superb lead and David Strathairn may be a very memorable supporting player as the district attorney to Los Angeles, but 'Fracture' has neither villain nor script of marked quality to fully utilize those assets; Hopkins has been some much better. That being noted, the film is a relatively competent work that does pique one's interest for the most part.

Completely disappointing. Watching Anthony and Ryan go toe-to-toe is not even close to being as good as it should've been, cause the actors are essentially phoning it in on an aggravatingly stupid story.

This was a very well done movie. The acting was incredibly solid and the story was very well written. The only issue that I had with this movie was that it became a little slow in some spots. This is definitely a movie that court room thriller fans need to check out as well as fans of Anthony Hopkins because he was amazing in this movie. A very solid film.

It's great fun watching Ryan Gosling and Anthony Hopkins bounce off each other. Too bad the story is completely ludicrous. Still, it's worth it for the great acting, just suspend your disbelief for the period.

Fracture is a decent movie that offers just enough to get by. The film is well directed and acted with two good performances by Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling, but it's the screenplay and overlength that weigh the film down, not to mention the bad ending. Hopkins and Goslings scenes together are a delight to watch. This movie is overall dissapointing but it's still worth watching. It's basically a remake of The Silence of The Lambs, Does hopkins' performance remind you of anyone?

It keeps you hooked from start to finish and it has an interesting mood. The on screen one-on-ones with Hopkins and Gosling are superb. A high end quality thriller. I think most people are going to label this movie as just one of those lawyer movies, but in fact it was much more. It was beautifully constructed and even. You donĀ“t see that too often.

I love Gosling. He always takes his roles so seriously, and obviously Hopkins is a genius. However, I guess I couldn't really enjoy this movie fully, because having a legal backround I know that what happened in this movie WOULD NEVER HAPPEN...EVER. I mean, it was a cool drama, and I liked watching how Gosling was able to figure everything out. But this was just unrealistic.
