The film is about a unlikely group of friends, and parapsychology professors, start a business catching ghosts and demons in New York City. This movie has a great soundtrack and funny cast and characters.

I currently have 886 movies ranked here on filmcrave, and i have Ghostbusters at number 2. on my favorite movie list. There is nothing about this movie that I don't like, no movie may be perfect, but this comes close. One of the funniest movies ever, and one of the best. The main cast shine in their roles as the Ghostbusters, but the supporting cast is also great.

Not only is this a fun adventure film with great creature effects, but it's also a very funny comedy, featuring a talented cast. Rick Moranis was a standout for me in an appropriately dorky and clueless role, as was a very campy Sigourney Weaver.

Very watchable movie. The boys are ghost catchers. Fun special effects. Good humor, some of it quite intelligent.

This has one of the best well casted comedic casts assembled. The screenplay very unique, cinematography was okay and who doesn't know the Ghostbuster's popular soundtrack. If only slimmer had more parts in this, I think it could have been better. Rarely do you see a horrific comedy blended with amazing visual effects and a myriad of ghosts. Sigourney Weaver and Rick Moranic played their parts well, Peter Venkman (Bill Murray) is my favorite character because of his charm and humor. Overall, an enjoyable flick for those who love horror comedies. In the words of Peter Venkman - "We came, we saw, we kicked its ass!" The legacy of this film did.

Ghostbusters is one of those movies that mark a generation and you won´t turn your eyes from the screen if for some reason you watch it again. From the first time I saw this movie one thing sticked till this day; my admiration for Bill Murray. The sequel ruined it a bit, but this is a classic comedy/scifi movie for all ages; a Sunday afternoon movie for all family to see.
