The problem with this movie is that it pretends to under the device of time travel even when the doesn't know how to set it up right. The movie isn't all that interesting and kind of forgettable but Sandra Bullock did a solid performance at least.

I saw other version of this time-separated romantic film but this is superior to others. Very frustrating to watch but I must admit, I really loved how it ended. Plus, I like Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves together. :)

The premise of the film could have been better if it was accomplished the right way. Many dragging scenes, reason for the different time period was confusing and character development was not present. Unlike The Time Traveler's Wife and Somewhere in Time, the theory behind it was vividly presented. Its kind of weird having a romance when you just write each other, no spoken words and physical contact. The ending, plot, cinematography or film score wasn't memorable either. Not really worth your time unless your intrigued by the idea.

The Lake House is sort of a remake of Sleepless In Seattle, only through out time. This film is romantic, but the entire film doesn't make sense, it's slow paced and the twos leads(while they have good chemistry together), they do not share enough screen time together. Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock are both good in their performances. But even they can't save this mess.

I like this movie, but that probably had a lot to do with Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves, who are favorites of mine. I could watch anything with Sandra Bullock in it and like it despite any flaws the film may contain. Many people complained that because it takes place in two different time periods it was hard to follow, but I had no difficulty following this movie. I guess one has to like that sort of thing to really enjoy the movie.

This movie made absolutely no sense. One person is two years ahead of the other. They're writing letters in this wierd time gap in this weird time portal house. They met before but somehow they didn't move in time together. What? No.

A perfectly respectable romantic drama confined by its unlikely time-warp plot device. Final Grade: B-

While this movie was pathetic, it could have been much worse. Sandra and Keanu are reunited and hopefully they never will be again! But if so, so what? They have ok chemistry.

Huge plot holes and a lack of innovation keep this movie back. But, I am a sucker for time gap movies. If you are looking for typical romance OR a typical scifi, stay away! But, if you enjoy the combination along with some fantasy, see it!
