'Lord of War' is such an overlooked and underappreciated gem. The opening scene alone with 'Buffalo Springfield - For What It´s Worth' playing in the background is everything a movie needs to do to hook me. Cage and Hawke are both terrific.

I was looking forward to seeing this and never got around to it. Unfortunately, Lord of War is a disjointed disappointment. It has its good moments and the acting is fine. But what begins as a quirky and interesting story about an ugly business slowly becomes something ugly. Nicolas Cage is great for this sort of unlikable protagonist but you root for because they're the most logical person in the room.

A great watch that has real-world scenarios involved. One of Cage's not-so-ridiculous movies. It is one of my favorites. I can only wonder where this movie could have gone with a better cast.

Anchored by a more nuanced and subdued Nic Cage performance, Lord of War is an intriguing look into the dark world of international arms dealing. The film manages to raise interesting questions of morality while still taking a dark comedy approach to its story in a way that, oddly, works.

What is the nature of evil? If you think you know, sit down to Lord of War and find out everything you thought you knew turned on its head. It may seem lighthearted, but view it again and it's chilling what goes on in this world.

Nicholas Cage is great in the film. The story weaves in and out nicely. It almost makes you like his character who is really just an immoral sales person trying to make money... what's new about that.
