The story of Chris Gardner and his son. Back in the day wherein the rubik's cube was still booming. Will Smith did a terrific job in portraying Gardner. The future of Jaden is bright as well. One of many memorable lines - "Don't ever let someone tell you you can't do something. Not even me. All right?" "You got a dream, you got to protect it." Reverend Williams - "The important thing about that freedom train, is it's got to climb mountains. We ALL have to climb mountains, you know. Mountains that go way up high, and mountains that go deep and low. Yes, we know what those mountains are here at Glide." The cinematography really brought out the harsh realities in life, the soundtrack was suitable and cast did a descent job. The 2 main leads really lifted the movie on their …

The Pursuit of Happiness is the rags to riches story of a struggling father and his five-year-old son. The story begins in downtown San Francisco in 1981. Smith plays a brow-beaten salesman, desperately trying to sell bone-density machines to doctors and hospitals. With an uncertain income and mounting bills, the financial pressures soon become unbearable.Forced to move from his apartment with his son, in search of accommodation, the peripatetic Smith seeks any place to call home. The story tracks the heartache and misery of an exceptionally determined father. With no certainty about where he is headed and a disinterested wife, he must find a way to rise above his poverty.
