Shrek has married Princess Fiona and the newlyweds are supposed to return to the castle to visit Fiona's parents (voiced by Julie Andrews and John Cleese) but when they do, the in-laws are, to put it lightly, shocked to discover their daughter is an ogre. Their taunts get under Shrek's skin and he starts to think maybe Fiona would be better off without him. So he, Donkey and newcomer, Puss (in Boots) travel the countryside to make what they assume to be Fiona's dream come true. The three make their way to the scheming Fairy Godmother's for help, not knowing she's up to no good; she has hopes of her own son, the spoiled and whiny Prince Charming (Rupert Everett), marrying Fiona, and now wants to set things straight. Wonderful computer animation and a good story too

"Shrek 2" is a wonderfully animated movie that reintroduces us to an Ogre (Mike Myers) and his formerly human wife, "Fiona" (Cameron Diaz), as well as introduces us to her parents.
The story mostly takes place in "Far Far Away," a place where characters from popular fairy tales come to life.
The acting is great, especially when it comes to the chemistry between Myers and Diaz, as well as Eddie Murphy ("Donkey"). Nearly every performance is believable.
There are a lot of jokes directed at the children in the audience, but there are a few that only the adults will understand. Also, there are many sight gags that will make you laugh out loud. Watch out for some of the puns though.
Myers is fantastic as the title character. He, and possibly Eddie Murphy as well, steal many of …
