Feels more like a 100 minute commercial for NASA rather than an actual movie. But kids will probably like it. Especially the robot sidekick. Kate Capshaw is not bad in this. It's crazy to think that renowned actor Joaquin Phoenix is the annoying kid in this. Best thing to recommend about this film is the score by John friggin Williams. It really has that whimsical spirit for this kind of movie, though it does feel a bit similar to the score for E.T.

A bunch of kids on a tour of a space centre are accidentally shot into space. Happens all the time apparently; you can't launch a rocket without having to plough through all the floating toddlers. The result is a teeny bop version of Apollo 13.

I'm going to have to agree with Gabe on this one - as a kid, I'm sure it was awesome watching those kids in space, but somehow I just don't think it holds the same place as say, The Goonies or Princess Bride. I don't think it would have aged as well at all.
