This film is just plainly to dreary and depressing. I felt that it lacked any joy, which it surely needed. Peter O'Toole is quite good but his character could have been developed a little more, but instead too much is left unknown. The same goes for the supporting character except the girl, but she is much too annoying, and far too mean to him, I mean hurting an old man for not having enough money. My biggest problem though is the lack of happiness there was some but needed more.
