Haeckel's Tale properly references Frankenstein and this is indeed a Barker-ish version of it. Everything here is average at best, though it does answer the age old question: Why don't living dead or zombie flicks ever have an orgy? This one does!

A decent entry into this series, Haeckel's Tale is based on a Clive Barker story and has influence from two masters of horror (George Romero has to bow out for health reasons). It's not the best, but it's serviceable horror.

Hey there drudgees! Have you been decently good or did you go wondering into the woods and see a scrumptous morsel you'd like to nibble on? If you've been naughty then you probably don't know this essential horror rule, which my dear drudgees, was not covered in Scream: ALWAYS LOOK AT A BABY'S FACE IF A 10/10 IS HOLDING IT!!!
Silly men always like those victorian secrets without regards though. But, careful smoochy bear, a baby born of living mother and dead hubbie may off and bite open your neck! Silly smoochy bear, your neck blood gushed all over my favorite portrait on the wall! Whack, whack, and whack to your bum!
This didn't goose-bump me enough for a snuggle buddy, and me thinks it a Frankenstein re-telling, so off with it's staright-to-DVD head! Kiss, kiss drudgees!
