This documentary shows how the improbable decades-long odyssey of Brian Wilson's lost "teenage symphony to God" finally comes to a glorious end. One of the greatest songwriters in pop music history, Brian Wilson had more than his share of troubles getting the treasures out of his cluttered system and onto disc. Smile is his true masterpiece--more than Pet Sounds or any of the singles. But it took some younger acolytes to make it happen. Listen to the album, then watch the movie.
