Plot: Follows the life of a Senegalese woman who, looking for a better life, becomes the governess to a French family. But when the family relocates from Dakar back to France, she finds her role reduced to that of a servant. Her hopes of a better life are dashed when she is made well aware of her position at every turn and mistreated by those around her.
