A really fun cinematic journey in Peru, where Les Blank shot behind-the-scenes footage of Werner Herzog's Fitzcarraldo. I'm stuck by how at one point Werner Herzog seems crazier than Klaus Kinski. However, testimonies from Les Blank and others proved that Klaus Kinski was quite the character. A very interesting documentary that is perhaps better than the film Fitzcarraldo itself!
