A Jackie Chan movie with a darker edge than most of his other films. It benefits from director Kirk Wong bringing a relentless style and uncommon brutality to the fight scenes. Even Chan’s character in the film is unusually humorless. As a result, while it’s a well paced action thriller, it doesn’t have much character development.

Not the usual death defying stunts and martial arts madness that we've come to expect from Chan, but very much worth the watch. This violent crime drama still serves up a great amount of action.
