Plot: The Germans have taken Czechoslovakia and scientist Axel Bomasch, inventor of a new type of armor plating, manages to flee to England with his daughter, Anna. The relief is short-lived as Gestapo agents find them and take them back to Berlin. British secret service agent Gus Bennet is in pursuit, disguised as a German officer, must rescue the scientist even if it means starting a romance with Anna. -- Chris Kavan

'Night Train to Munich' is an entertaining thriller in the Hitchcockian mold that tries too hard to be like Hitchcock sometimes. Still, Rex Harrison is having a ball and the plot twists still work well. The recurring comedic duo of Caldicott and Charters are funny as well. No vulgarity or hyper-mania from this pair to make audiences laugh, just the quiet playful humor anyone can derive from simply having a conversation.
