Having read only the North Korean version of the life of Rikidozan, which emphasizes his Korean heritage, I would see this movie of a different look at his life. It captures his rise to Japan's fame as the man who gave Japan back its honor and pride. In the North Korean account no negative aspects of his personality were named. In this movie it's a whole lot different. There are many different accounts on his death, claiming the Yakuza did it. This movie sees it different. You don't often see that an trained Asian is getting owned by western pro-wrestling moves.
