Fascinating companion piece to the 2008 biographical film MILK starring Sean Penn. Informative and often sad sometimes.

This movie is so inspiring in many ways. Not only did Harvey Milk try to fight for the rights of homosexuals but other minorities as well. There was something about this documentary that felt so real and natural. I don't know if it's the nostalgia of being made in 1984 or if it's just a stroke of master filmmmaking. I was interested in it from beginning to end; I did enjoy learning about who played what in the gay movement, the propositions, and Milk's personal and political life. It made me wonder whether if Milk has lived a whole life, gay rights would probably a lot better than we have now. That said, I can't wait for the upcoming film "Milk" which is to be released either 2008 or 2009, starring Sean Penn and Emile Hirsch. This movie evoked focus on the subject matter, sadness, and …
