Action: 2/3 + Comedy: 0.5/2 + Good vs Evil: 1/1 + Love/Sex: 0/1 + Special Effects: 0.5/1 + Plot: 0.5/1 + Music: 1/1 = 5.5/10 or 55%. There are many movies in this roundtable vien. The godfather of them, Pulp Fiction, works and a few other imitators, like Go, work as well. The oddity within 11:14 is that objects are more interesting than the characters. For example, a bowling ball. That three word description is deeper than nearly all the characters. They are grungy losers, which can work in the right context, but here they are simply burdensome and tiring.

A cleverly-directed black comedy, unfortunately full of unlikable characters, we don't much care what happens to them; it has it's moments. Final Grade: B-

Take Some Time To Watch 11:14

Surprisingly enough this movie captured my attention after the first 5 minutes. I was terribly bored at first, but then I had to find out what was going to happen to this fool in the first story as he kept making incredibly terrible choices. Even though its been done time and time again, I do like watching those movies where there are several different stories that seemingly have nothing to do with other but somehow end up having everything to do with each other. The one problem with this movie is that most of the characters were pretty much unlikable. Oddly enough the most sincere character out of this whole film seemed to be the castrator with the gun, and I suppose Hillary Swank. Everyone else sucked and kind of deserved what happened to them. I would definitely recommend this to …

A Great Little Movie

The film '11:14' centers around a series of seemingly unrelated events that all converge at 11:14 pm. The participants in the action are a father trying to keep his daughter from dating a disreputable fellow, some teenagers out for some not-so-wholesome fun, and a man cheating on his spouse. Along the way, there is robbery, murder, mayhem, lots and lots of blood, and one severed penis.

The story is told from the view point of each character which reveals something new every single time. It reminded me of "Pulp Fiction" or "Vantage Point" in someways because of the time of the events and the view points of the different characters. The cast is filled with actors who prove their mettle with solid performances. Hilary Swank gives her usual fine performance as a golden-hearted girl …

I did not expect a dark comedy going into this movie. I thought it was going to be a serious thriller so I was in for a surprise. Although there were many angles regarding one storyline, there's only one storyline I absolutely loved: the one with Hilary Swank in it. She was so convincing as a small town girl who wants to stick to her job. Even though I didn't like the other four as much, I'm still giving this a good review because all of the stories made me laugh one way or another. If I had to pick a second favorite story, it has got to be the opening scene. Stupid decisions on top of more stupid decisions set at night somehow gave me a good time. If there had been less storylines, there would've been more focus, thus elevating the entire film. I've heard about this movie for a while …
