Plot: Squarciò struggles in a harsh fishing village, but, unlike his fellow men - doesn't fish with a net, but rather illegally uses explosives. When he loses his boat, he does the unthinkable and uses explosives just off the shore rather than the open sea - earning the ire of the fellow villagers. In one last effort to save his family, he comes by a new boat and once again sails off to use his explosives, but this time, the sea exacts a toll on him. -- Chris Kavan
