Why oh why was this series only five episodes long? This series was your basic, nuts and bolts, slice and dice samurai anime. No long drawn out cat and mouse romance, no deep esoterical meaning to try and give the show some societal influence. It was cold-blooded samurai chopping, cut-em up, shoot-em up, testastarone driven fun. Sam could have had more lines and they could have slowed the action down a little so you can see some of the detailed moves in the fights ( I had to rewind and slow-mo quite a bit.), but other than that this dvd will be well worth the rental. I really hope that they bring this series back for a longer run. Why tease us with a great show and not have plans to continue it?
