Poetic and Heroic acts to be found here.

Cyrano de Bergerac is a movie all about heroic acts and acting poetically in every possible way. Cyrano himself is all about that. He sword fights makes bold statements and helps another man woo the woman he loves. Now all this does have its appeal but only in certain parts. The parts that allow the comedy from such things to come out more than the scenes that try to be more serious. There are not enough scenes leaning on the comedy side to make it a good film but it is a good one. T His a film that does not look all that good in terms of cinematography, but it is mostly about the dialogue which is somewhat good. Cyrano played by Jose Ferrer is properly theatrical and over the top everyone else does little with there parts. Overall okay but could certainly be a lot better.
