Daniel Day-Lewis and Camilla Belle are the primary, dominant brushstrokes in this work of art. This film will touch a part of you that you weren't aware you had. Truly beautiful, intoxicating, and one of the best films I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. It's a complex and profound piece, but there isn't a flaw in the entire thing. A must-see, for those who enjoy beautiful imagery, and a good baffling. All-around perfection.

Though I feel that I am betraying all that is good & right in the world by saying anything negative about a project with Day-Lewis' name attached, in this case it must be done...
This is actually a negative 1 star movie. A Horribly written, strangely acted, pointless piece of film making. You feel virtually nothing but confusion & discomfort towards these characters which don't undergo a thing, no transformation - no triumph - they simply wander with no real goal outside of dwelling around their property (which somehow is hidden away from the rest of the world...& from normalcy of any sort.)
Rose...immature, annoying, obviously grew up having learned nothing and therefore resorts to behavior similar to a 6 year old...the writer decided to make this the conflict & drama of the …
