Those who enjoy the 'Saw' series might like this. The premise is somewhat unique, but I found the story to be kind of pointless. If you want to see some gruesome stuff for the sake of it, I guess you could do worse.

The Collector Review

What's great about The Collector is it's different, You don't see these types of movies people might get a saw feel but I never did I got a tense cat and mouse game between Arkin and The Collector I was pleased that this movie met my expections. I was a little worried because it was from the people from SAW. Don't get me wrong Saw was good but they should've stopped at SAW 3. So I was surprised but it delievered. This movie was gripping and believable. Josh Stewart did great his performance made this movie what it was. Juan Fernandaz did amazing as The Collector something fresh and good. You didn't understand why he did what he did and that's what made him so dangerous and scary. I love the traps in the house they was great. It was very intense you didn't know what was going to happen …

Granted, I don't believe it was made clear exactly why his wife has these debts, unless I missed something, but it sets up the whole reason for this really decent guy to become so desperate that he'd steal from these people he seems to rather like. Things go terribly wrong when he realizes someone else has already gotten into the house. The Collector is there torturing the family members after booby trapping the whole house. Why the collector does what he does isn't explained, but hey, lots of crimes go on that I just don't understand. I thought it was a …
