A sobering documentary that shows just how clear the economic divide is in this country. A young couple is uanble to leave their home during Hurricane Katrina and records their struggle to make it through the storm. After Katrina, we see how the hurricane impacts their lives - unable to return to their home for months and unable to get aid promised them. The documentary also follows their relatives and friends who also struggle to survive. Most troubling is the tale from a relative, who was in jail when the storm hit due to a misdemeanor, who was abandoned by the guards and left to die. A truly sad reminder of the poor response to Katrina and how its victims continue to struggle today.
