"Tekken" by Yojimbo

A future world where fascistic corporations rule a street kid enters the prestigious "Iron Fist" tournament with the intention of killing the head of the Tekken corporation whom he holds responsible for the death of his mother. Yet another cheesy video game adaptation, Tekken is a cheap and cheerful B-movie that does exactly what it says on the tin. The script, as you'd expect, is sub standard, the acting suspect and dialogue regurgitated action movie cliches but the characters all look the part, the action sequences adequately executed and the fight scenes all decent. It's definitely a case of MTV film making with the usual flashing lights, fast cuts and inescapably constant and awful soundtrack but it's certainly not the worst video game adaptation I've seen and is no worse than you're …

Easy entertainment

I watched this movie mostly out of curiosity, and quite frankly I expected it to be bad. The acting wasn't terrible and the characters cast was quite good in my opinion. There were a couple of adoptations to the characters that made them work better in a movie, and personally I didn't mind them. When you watch this movie you gotta take it for what it is. This is easy entertainment. The fights and the enviornment was artistic and good looking. Perhaps it was the fact that I didn't expect anything from the movie that made me enjoy it for exactly what it is. There is a very simple but well working plot that ties the fights together, and it's following a well used and functioning recipee. This movie woun't change your life by giving you revelations but it will entertain you.
