Eric Bana is one of the most underrated actors currently working, and he does an incredible job, but the rest of the movie is pointless and doesn't live up to his performance.

Brutal, graphic and highly stylish criminal melodrama featuring a barely recognizable Eric Bana as real life Aussie hard man Mark Brandon Read a.k.a Chopper. Typically Australian (tough, ruthless and uncompromising) in tone, this movie manages to make a homicidal, repellent and nasty piece of work into a largely charismatic and likable character thanks in main to Bana`s performance. Perversely funny, disturbing and wildly unpredictable, Chopper serves as a mesmerizing slice of an Australian underbelly few are familiar with.
