A brutal and sadistic thriller that works as a cross between 'Mr. Holland's Opus' and 'Death Wish'. This is a movie that would never fly in a post-Columbine world and yet its viciousness is a part of its draw. The protagonist is a music teacher who cares about his students but by the end fo the movie, even he has go on a one-man revenge spree against a truly ferocious gang of hoodlums.

An exploitative, but effective urban nightmare that forces one to question morality; over-the-top, but intriguing. Final Grade: B
