Truly unsettling and nail-biting installment that gives fans what they want. Seriously, this really was a return to form that harkens back to the eerie vibe in the 2000 movie. The opening bridge collapse is one of the best scenes in the entire franchise. The other kills in the movie are well done too. Unlike the last two films (#3 and 4) which were just routine slashers, this one puts some effort into setting up atmosphere and a more suspenseful tone.

Certainly better than THE Final Destination and about on par with most of the other sequels - that is, inventive deaths, a killer opening sequence and an actual fun twist at the end. Look, by now you should well know what you're going to get with a Final Destination movie - and this film is exactly that to a tee.

How many times do there's people have to cheat with death. In the fifth movie in the series, death once again catches up to a group of survivors who weren't supposed to survive the collapse of a suspension bridge. This movie is way better then final destination 4. The acting is still bad and the writing is god awful. But the deaths and the directing in the movie is the only good things.

Ok this is when the term 'Jump the shark' should be inserted! Aside from the regular reasons fans of this series are drawn into the theatre..the deaths! The acting was bad as, the charectors in the film were not the greatest and i also felt as if watching a parody of these great films at times. Question? Why would you cast a well known comedian David Koechner if you didnt want the film to garner some laughs? The last film before this part 4 in the series to be exact was supposed to be the last one according to the title that was why i was shocked when part 5 was announced. Part 4 kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the whole shoe, part 5 had none of it's predecessor's edginess. It even seemed rushed at times. this will be the last Final Destination i see in the over priced …

Whenever a horror franchise says "final" you know they're just yanking your chain - Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter? Even though Saw 3D was also billed as "the Final Chapter" I bet they get around to another one of those too.

I thought the last one was "the final destination." The first one was good, all of the others sucked really bad.

Maybe Final Destination wants to be king of the horror movies with the most unnecessary sequels - it can catch up to Saw, but has a long way to go before it can rival Friday the 13th. I agree - they should stop while they're ahead (of course, if they had done that, it would have ended with the 3rd film).
