Plot: Formed in 1983, the upstart USFL played football in the spring, recruited respectable players and decent TV ratings all while creating their own atmosphere. While I was too young when this drama between the USFL and NFL went down, it's still interesting to hear about it from the people who were there, from Burt Reynolds to Donald Trump. It's one of those "what-could-have-been" stories - if things had worked out differently, we might still have two separate leagues today.
