Plot: The true story of Major Charles Whittlesey and his men as they advanced deep due to miss-coordination from their French and American brothers in arms into the German lines during the last few weeks of World War I. Even while being outnumbered by German forces, cut off from supplies, and hit by their own American artillery shells they held for six days until American troops were finally able to rescue the men. Of the 554 men that went over the top with Major Whittlesey 194 walked out of the forest with their Major.
