A film about American poet Hart Crane. It focuses on the personality of Crane, his talents, weaknesses and madness. Score was unpleasant, pace was sluggish and sex scenes a bit graphic and overdone. On the other-hand, the acting and screenplay was splendid. It shows the dexterity and brilliance of Franco with regard to acting and writing, but needs polishing on the directing side. The Broken Tower exposes a brilliant poet whose eclectic lifestyle get's the best of him.
