The first thing that must be mentioned is the music. The soundtrack is fantastic. Everybody knows On the Dark Side because it's played on every classic rock station in America, every day. But the rest of it is quite good. I always thought that Bruce Springsteen sang that song, but it's actually John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band. My dad has this on cassette, I might have to blow the dust off of my tape deck and go get it from him.
As for the movie itself, it's really not that bad. It's fairly predictable, but it's charming. Our view into the band is Tom Berenger's character, not Eddie. I didn't like the plot device of the reporter on the trail of Eddie possibly being alive and the lost tapes. I understand it was a way to jump right into the film, but it didn't work. I …
