As devastating as an earthquake that shakes the heart. Few coming-of-age stories capture what it's like for a child to discover how easily their perfect world can be shattered as accurately as "Eve's Bayou."

I have a terrible fear of Louisiana I think. Between this movie and The Skeleton Key I feel like I ever go down there I'm going to keep my hair tighly wrapped and wear four hats and padlock my personal effects. There is just too much crazy stuff for me. With that being said, this was a great movie. It was an amazing story and the actors were brilliant. Its sad to see Meagon Good going from movies like this where she actually plays a meaningful role, to movies like Stomp The Yard were she is pretty much always cast as "The Hot Girl." This movie shows that she actually has talent. Also, what ever happened to Jurnee Smollett. I loved her. All and all good stuff.
