A Brief History of Video Games

So much history and evolution - Video Games: The Movie does go over a lot of ground, but it doesn't go too deep. It's mainly because there is just so much - the video game industry is quite young (comparative to history) but that doesn't mean there isn't a lot to cover. This is a great overview - it goes over history, some interesting facts, a few technical things, but interesting elements, violence and games, E-sports, going from 2D to 3D, the video game meltdown in the early 80s - is given little more than cursory notice. Great names - from Nolan Bushnell to Peter Molyneux to Hideo Kojima show up, along with some more recognizable (to general audiences) Chris Hardwick, Wil Wheaton and Donald Faison also show up.
