I learned absolutely nothing about dogs suffering from PTSD or their significance in the military. That's because "Max" is the shallow and far-fetched story of a bratty teen who foils a gun smuggling plot with the help of the creature who the film should have been about.

Max – Rating – 6 out of 10
There are enough movies made till date which depict the bond between man and his best friend – Dog.
This movie is no different from what we have already seen in many such movies before.
While some scenes are excellent and Max’s (the Dog) point of view is outstandingly shown (especially the scene where Max is frightened after seeing the fireworks and needs to the comforted like a small kid).
But the movie mostly focuses on the Kid’s life and his point of view. You won’t take too long to realise this change in focus.
A movie which starts with a Dog being the centre of attraction, somewhere down the line loses its focus and the Kid becomes the central character.

A lot of people asked me if I like dogs and the answer is yes, but I don't own a dog. I like watching movies with dogs, cats or any other animals in the movie and even when the movie sucks at least you got to see cute animals and enjoy watching them. That's why I saw Max because back in April when I saw the trailer to film I actually thought this was going to be a good movie, because the trailer was pretty sad and looked like it could …
