This is the worst movie I have seen in a long time. The plot is completely lacking in tension and excitement. The movie consists out of clichè after clichè and bores you to death. Not even the pleasent physique of Matthew can hide the fact that this is a bad low-budget movie. There is nothing in the movie that I can praise, not even the screenplay or actors. Do yourself a favour and watch this movie then you will just appreciate good movies all the more.

A long, casual, lazy comedy reteeming the stars from How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days; the stars have chemistry, but the script doesn't try very hard at all. Donald Sutherland is criminally wasted and the constant references to McConaughey's sexual prowess become tiresome quickly. Final Grade: C

It Was So... Boring!

Oh, boy… Where do I start? I heard that this was a terrible film but I decided to see it anyway because I ran out of movies to see at the time and I wanted to give it a chance. I never liked Matthew McConaughey because I don’t think he can act. But I do like Kate Hudson from time to time. I also like the treasure hunting storyline because I pretended to find treasures when I was a kid. But this picture was so badly written, acted, and directed–not to mention boring from beginning up until they find the treasure. Things got a little interesting when they finally found what they were all looking for but that fifteen-minute segment, unfortunately, does not save this movie’s egregiousness. Every cliche that one can find in a romantic comedy can be found here, not to mention that the …

It is good to see those two reunite for yet another movie about them falling in love once again. But here's the thing they removed the whole romantic side of the story and replace it with an adventure filled treasure hunt. It is almost interesting to have that something like of a National Treasure feel but after all was said and done the whole thing felt short and empty. The problem is that they did not bring something new for audiences to see and the treasure hunt itself feels just dumb. Mathew as we know is only good in taking his shirt off and doing his same old character from his previous movies like Edtv and Sahara. There are just too many wrong and not too much to look forward to from Fool's Gold. Not even the entire supporting cast was helpful because they tried so hard to be …
