"Clown" stretches its premise to the limit, but as far as campy gore-fests go, its watchable enough.

I can't quite get past how much of a missed opportunity "Clown" is. This could have, and should have been a really disturbing human tragedy, like David Cronenberg's "The Fly." It could have dug just a little deeper and pull out not only visceral terror but psychological terror and make something really uniquely scary. But it is what it is, and what it is is a well shot horror film with some pretty bad jump scares, a silly idea that remains silly throughout, and characters about as interesting as the remains of a popped balloon animal.

Clown - Movie Review

Never again would I look at Clowns the same way after seeing this movie, but that get's me thinking, when did I like them in the first place.

The story to Clown is about a father discovers the clown suit and decides to wear it for his son's birthday party. However, he soon discovers that the suit turns the wearer into a killing machine.

Clowns never scared me because I always know it's somebody else in cheap looking make-up trying to make you laugh, but really they creeping us out. I have seen many movies and TV shows with scary looking clowns in it and yes I can see why people are scared of them but they never took a big effect on me, until I sawed this and for now on, I will stay far way from clowns as possible.

You can hate or like the film "Clown" if your a horror fan or …

'Clowns' Aren't Scary

'Clown' is an unfulfilling exercise in common horror tropes of the modern era. The initial premise of a man putting on a clown costume only to be stuck in it and slowly morph into a child eating demon (in clown form) is a solid idea. The only problem is that the film is lacking in every area besides the evil clown visuals. The quick synopsis I gave is all that ever occurs. There are no surprises, only dumb cliches carried out by dumb characters in the most dull fashion. It's story is entirely built on the absolute standard "every horror movie has to do this" mentality. Some low grade horror flicks can get away with this by being clever, having great characters/dialogue, new methods of shock, a fun sense of humor, or just reveling in sleaze and going all out. This movie opts to do …

Trust me ... The Clown is scary

Perhaps you have nostalgic memories about attending a circus when you were young and you had fun while watching the clowns act. My advice. Don't watch "Clown" because these idyllic reveries won't be the same anymore. And also, were you scared of clowns and thought these were horrible impersonations, you definitely shouldn't watch. I guarantee you the phobia will grow out into clownish proportions. For me who has no emotional connection with clowns and enjoys a ghastly horror, it's mandatory to watch this movie. Just one thing worth knowing. If you're wondering which movie is shown in one particular trailer and the thought of plagiarism comes to mind, I can tell you that this is a fake trailer created by director Jon Watts. The moment Eli Roth saw this trailer, he couldn't restrain his …
