Blonde bombshell Jayne Mansfield plays a buxom queen who charms the famed Greek demigod Hercules. He has to fight palatial intrigue, fire breathing Hydras, and treacherous Amazons to protect her. Mickey Hargitay looks the part as Hercules but he's a bad actor. Mansfield herself is not much better but she's a gorgeous woman. The villains are kind of amusing for how dastardly they are. Some of the sets and costumes do look nice. The fights and more fantastical scenes are interesting on a conceptual level. But they're let down by the film's limited budget and poor special effects.
