A religious movie that tries to tackle LDS sterotypes and gives us strong, believable characters and lots of symbolism; a lot of the acting is amateurish, but the emotion is deeply felt and its message is never shoved down the audience's throats, much unlike the original God's Army. Like director Richard Dutcher's previous film "Brigham City" it transcends its genre without rejecting it. Final Grade: B
