It should have more bite to it but it's toothless. McCarthy, Haddish, and Moss are all pretty solid in their roles. But its plot is pretty basic as far as mob movies go. But it has its dark comedic moments like a Scorsese movie.

Imagine "Widows" without the bold script and solid direction. "The Kitchen" is a one-dimensional and randomly plotted dud that isn't made better by its leads, just less painful.
