I'm not one for romance/comedies, but I think this one is the best I've come across. It deserves a better rating than is given.

Another bad rom-com. Not funny and not romantic, just like the majority of them.

Predictable, Unfunny, and Way Too Long

Hitch just doesn't work. Plain and simple. The cast tries hard (for the most part), but this film just simply isn't funny. Featuring a bloated run time of nearly 2 hours, I laughed only once or twice. Yes, Hitch is that despicable kind of movie; a comedy that's not funny. And worse still, it's also absurdly predictable. When he meets Albert, an accountant smitten with his client, the newly single model/socialite Allegra Cole, he is up for the challenge. Despite being able to help other men get the girl, Hitch himself is lovelorn. Of course he happens to meet a gossip columnist and woos her, with disastrous results. We all know where this is leading: date doctor, gossip columnist, socialite going out with an accountant? Still, it's enjoyable enough, even if you know the …
