I usually don't go for the fluffy romantic comedy, but I happened to find Hitch a rather enjoyable, if not remarkable, film. Will Smith a good actor - even in bad movies, he's always good. If the movie itself happens to be good - bonus! As a date doctor, Smith hooks up average men with the girl of their dreams - strictly referrals. When he meets Albert, an accountant smitten with his client, the newly single model/socialite Allegra Cole, he is up for the challenge. Despite being able to help other men get the girl, Hitch himself is lovelorn. Of course he happens to meet a gossip columnist and woos her, with disastrous results. We all know where this is leading: date doctor, gossip columnist, socialite going out with an accountant? Still, it's enjoyable enough, even if you know the outcome.
