Where do I begin? It's trashy, tasteless, lowbrow, but supplies an ever slight bit of appeal. It's far from being the Zucker brothers' best comedy, but one defining thing about it is how it foreshadowed their future spoof comedy films.

Sketch comedy movie that has a 10/1 ratio of hits to misses. And the hits are hilarious!

Kentucky Fried Movie review
Daniel Corleone - wrote on 04/25/2013
Some childish, distasteful humor mixed with movie previews and advertisements and vignettes of a myriad of stories that are not connected and doesn't usually make a point but to make you laugh. Highlights would be the "realistic" film experience in the theater, A fist full of Yen sketch, That's Armageddon, and newscaster not being focused. Definitely pioneering in its concept but seems to date in terms of the jokes. Courtroom was entertaining and the aforementioned sketches. The rest seems to be average and felt juvenile. Still, Kentucky Fried Movie is entertaining enough to be viewed compared to recent comedies on sketches such as the dreadful Movie 43. One of the earlier spoof/mockumentary films, this can be enjoyed with an open mind.
