He learns of an old legend about the D'Ampton Worm, a huge dragon-snake that was purported to be killed by D'Ampton's ancestors when he cut it in half. Over the next several days, disappearances and murders, along with the theft of the skull, leads Flint to believe the legend might not only be true - but that the creature may yet live. -- Chris Kavan

Amanda Donohue is easily the best thing about this loopy but also kind of dopey movie. She is sexy and creepy but also knows the movie she is starring in happens to be downright silly. Director Ken Russell throws everything except the kitchen sink (probably cuz it was too heavy). It slithers from being a thriller to a comedy and then back to horror rather clumsily. I'll admit it is kind of neat to see Hugh Grant swing a giant sword to chop vampiric ladies in half or future Doctor Who star Peter Capaldi toss grenades at a giant snake.

Even though there's things I liked about it, "The Lair of the White Worm" was a confusing, frustrating sit that wasn't scary enough for me.
