It amuses me to think that at some point in history some executive decided that what the film viewing public of the world really wanted was to see a big-screen adaptation of a television show that focused on the innocuous misadventures of a bland blond slattern. By Heavens, sinking the Lusitania was a wiser move!

Teenage fantasy!

If you've watched it, you will see some really horrible acting, and that's basically why this movie, in my opinion, failed miserably.

Plot: Lizzie McGuire (Hilary Duff) messes up her graduation and is trying to live down the embarrassment. She goes on a class trip to Rome, Italy and meets teen pop star, Paolo who asks her to impersonate his ex-singing partner, Isabella (also Hilary Duff) at the big awards ceremony that takes place soon. Comical scenes soon ensue. Along the way we get to drool over the various sights and sounds of Rome as well. With Paolo's encouragement, Lizzie is transformed from clumsy teenager to international pop diva, but she is soon forced to make a difficult decision: is the life of a star really for her? Meanwhile Lizzie's friend Gordo is trying to express how …
