The story is about a school assignment requires Vada Sultenfuss to write about a person she admires, but has never met. With a holiday coming up, she decides to write about her mother and travels to LA to find out about the woman she never knew. This movie is not as good as the first movie because the second film sucked.

Most of the heart of the original is left out of this sequel. It's still kind of charming, but you can tell there's something missing. There's not much to say - it's a completely average movie on all accounts.

Unfortunately this movie is one of those you either really like it or you don't kind of films. The main cast returns in this movie, and they all do a decent job of bringing their characters back to the level that we saw them in the first movie, but this movie doesn't quit reach the same emotional depth that the first one did no matter how hard it tries.
t's the summer time again for Vada Sultenfuss and this time she has assignment to do. She has to write about someone she really admires, but has never met. Vada almost immediately decides to write about her mother, but realises she only knows a little bit about her. Vada then manages to persuade her father to let her go to LA to stay with her Uncle Phil and do some research on her mother. Vada's father agrees and once she gets to LA, …
