Action: 1/3 + Comedy: 0/2 + Good vs Evil: 0/1 + Love/Sex: 0.5/1 + Special Effects: 0/1 + Plot: 1/1 + Music: 0/1 = 2.5/10 or 25%. The plot, which involves the never ending conflicts of womens rights and Muslim law within Iran, is a broad platform to explore religious, political, psychological, and sociological issues. This film does none of these however, and instead comes off as a one-sided stereotype celebration of American Democracy. Furthermore, the book "Not Without My Daughter" is as controversial as "the Satanic Verses" within Iran and therefore deserves to be developed enough such that the controversy is understood. It is not and thus is a very disappointing and juvenile production on all fronts.
