I'm glad Hollywood finally learned to stop remaking these Japanese ghost movies, cause they sure as hell don't translate to good American films.

This was just plain horrible. The acting was a joke, the plot was one big hole after another and all the charactors were just bad people. I was actually happy when they died, I am actually angry more of them didn't die! Don't watch this steaming pile of crap.

The Movie Man - wrote on 05/14/2009

Pulse is a terrible movie that should not qualify as a horror, or a scary movie, not to mention that it should not have been made at all. not much goes right in this film. The entire cast overacts, The writing is embarrassing and the direction is lazy. This is another japanese remake that has a good premise, but lacks emotion. Nothing is ever resolved, leaving the film empty and pointless. The ending seems like it's from another film entirely. This film is what you would get if you mixed Resident Evil and The Ring together, those two had something to offer, well, The Ring did at least.

Very predictable waste of time.

I walked into the theater not expecting much from this film, and that's basically what I got. Not much.
The premise is very tired (paranormal evil invades our computers, brings death and destruction) the plot is convoluted, and the acting is sub-par. Kristen Bell gives a weepy, melodramatic performance, while Christina Milian and Ian Somerhalder are basically extended cameos. The characters are pitifully undeveloped, and the interaction between them is awkward and forced. Unfortunately, I imagine the actors did the best they could with what they were given. The film itself utterly fails to fit the description of a "horror" title. For a movie about malicious ghosts spreading throughout our telecommunications technology, it's hardly scary. Even scenes that are meant to make you jump in …

Scary parts, decent movie, horrible plot

I expected a terrible, horrible, horror movie. I was actually surprised at how creepy it was. I am a sucker for this type of movie. The scary parts reminded me much of "The Ring" with the blurry, jerky movements and the suspenseful buildup of dumb people going into places the average person would run away from.

Nothing about this movie was spectacular, but it okay most of the way through. The plot was by far the worst part of the film, but asides from a shitty plot, based on retarded ideas, Jim Sonzero and the cast did the best they could with it and almost pulled it off.

I did watch this movie during a thunderstorm which could have added to the scariness, but still I felt a bit creepy out afterwards when I went into my dark basement to do laundry. Horror lovers should check it …

THE WORST MOVIE I'VE EVER SEEN!! AVOID IT!!

Tino - wrote on 05/22/2008

ONE OF THE WORST MOVIES I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I HATE THIS MOVIE MORE THEN I HATE CANCER AND SLAVERY. THERE IS NOTHING GOOD ABOUT IT. THE ACTING, DIRECTION, STORY, SCRIPT, AND EVEN THE CINEMATOGRAPHY IS ALL HORRIBLE. THE BEST THING ABOUT THIS MOVIE WAS THE FEELING OF RELIEF I HAD AS I WALKED OUT OF THE THEATRE, BREATHING IN CLEAN, UNTAINTED, REFRESHING AIR. AFTER THE FIRST FEW MOMENTS FULL OF FEELINGS OF STUPIDITY, DESPAIR, AND UTTER HUMILIATION FOR MYSELF SEEING THIS HEEP OF GARBAGE, I EVENTUALLY FOUND THE GOOD IN THE WORLD, AND THAT I HAD HIT ONE OF THE LOWEST POINTS IN THE HISTORY HUMANITY, DURING THOSE 87 GOD FORSAKEN MINUTES. I WOULD GIVE THIS MOVIE A NEGATIVE SCORE OR EVEN A 0 IF I COULD, BUT TECHNICALLY, IT IS A MOVIE, SO I GIVE IT A 1........OUT OF 100. AVOID, AT ALL …
